19 MODOC (Missouri) prisons from the official MODOC (Missouri) facility list, checked 2026-10-20.

Missouri DOC Offender Web Search (official) (opens in new tab) Missouri facility status

How to search: enter the person's legal last and first name, or their MODOC (Missouri) ID number if you have it. Nicknames and misspellings usually return nothing; try fewer letters or a different spelling of the name. Mail must include the person's DOC ID number.

What the dates mean: any dates shown, such as admission, sentence or projected release dates, come from MODOC (Missouri)'s own records. Projected dates can change (for example with earned credits, discipline or parole decisions) and are not a guarantee. Ask MODOC (Missouri) or the facility before making plans around a date.

OutSooner does not store or list anyone's name, date of birth or ID number. The search runs on the official site.

Becoming an approved visitor

  • You must be approved before visiting. Complete MODOC's online Visitor Application honestly; a criminal history check is run.
  • The person in prison is told the decision and is responsible for telling you.
  • If denied, you may appeal in writing within 30 days to the Deputy Division Director of Adult Institutions; denied visitors may reapply after one year.

  • Include a return address, use blue or black ink, and send no more than 10 items per envelope. Originals are discarded after 45 days unless you include a stamped return envelope.
  • Greeting cards are only allowed through Securus. Legal mail, pre-approved certified mail and publisher-sent publications still go to the prison.
