Utah prison money & phone fees, compared
What it costs to send money and take calls from UDC, using only fees UDC publishes, each with its source and date. Where a fee isn't published, we say so; we never guess. Call rate: $0.10/min.
Sending money
Official fees and rates
- Official fees UDC publishes: $6.95 per phone or internet deposit; at visiting kiosks, $3 for cash and $3.95 for a debit or credit card.
Other official notes
- Mail a money order or cashier's check to the UDC Finance office using UDC's form. Do not mail money to the prison.
- Or use the state's approved provider, which UDC lists as Access Corrections: online, by phone at 1-866-345-1884, by mail with the provider's form, at kiosks in the main visiting entrances of both prisons, or at walk-in retail locations. You need the person's full name and offender number.
- UDC warns: do not send money to Pigeonly in Las Vegas, Nevada.

- Video visits are Monday through Thursday and are scheduled through UDC's visiting pages once you are an approved visitor.

Ways to keep costs down
- If UDC lists a free option (often a mailed money order), it says so above.
- Fees often step up with the amount; a vendor's checkout screen shows the exact fee before you pay.
- Compare states: all states side by side.
