NMCD offender search (official) (opens in new tab) New Mexico facility status
How to search: enter the person's legal last and first name, or their NMCD ID number if you have it. Nicknames and misspellings usually return nothing; try fewer letters or a different spelling of the name. Search by name or NMCD number. NMCD's Family & Constituent Services can also help at (505) 827-8710.
What the dates mean: any dates shown, such as admission, sentence or projected release dates, come from NMCD's own records. Projected dates can change (for example with earned credits, discipline or parole decisions) and are not a guarantee. Ask NMCD or the facility before making plans around a date.
Release and transfer alerts: New Mexico takes part in VINE (official source (opens in new tab)). Families can sign up free on VINELink (opens in new tab) for release, transfer and court-date alerts. It's built mainly for crime victims.
OutSooner does not store or list anyone's name, date of birth or ID number. The search runs on the official site.

Sending money
- NMCD's official FAQ says an approved visitor can send a money order to the facility with the person's name and NMCD number on it. The facility deposits it into their account.
- Only people on the approved visiting list can send money. Money can't be moved from one incarcerated person to another.

In-person visiting
- Visiting days and times differ by prison and custody level, and many prisons require booking ahead by phone or email. Check the facility's section of NMCD's visitation page before you travel.
- Visits for people in some custody levels are non-contact. Contact visits may be limited to immediate family with proof of kinship.

- Use the person's legal name and NMCD number. Since February 1, 2022, personal mail is no longer accepted directly at state-run prisons; NMCD's mail change memo and Mail Regulations (CD-151200) explain where to send it.
- All mail except legal and official mail is inspected. Food packages can only come from NMCD's approved quarterly package vendor, ordered by someone on the approved visiting list.
