Visit-day checklist: New Hampshire prisons

Before visit day
- ☐ The person must ask to add you to their list. Fill out the adult visitor application (Attachment 3 of the visiting rule), have it notarized, and send it to the person you want to visit, not to NHDOC. (official source) (opens in new tab)
- ☐ Everyone gets a criminal background check. It takes about 4 weeks. Family members on the list are unlimited. (official source) (opens in new tab)
- ☐ Check for lockdowns or cancelled visits: New Hampshire facility status.
