BOP Inmate Locator (official) (opens in new tab)

How to search: the BOP Inmate Locator (opens in new tab) covers people in federal custody since 1982. Search by 8-digit register number (also DCDC, FBI or INS number) or by name. A spelling has to match the record.

What the dates mean: the "release date" is BOP's projection. It can change with good conduct time, First Step Act time credits, discipline or a court order. People can move to a halfway house or home confinement before that date. How First Step Act credits work.

Sentence credits

Federal credits are the same at every BOP facility: good conduct time and First Step Act time credits. How First Step Act credits work.
