Colorado prison money & phone fees, compared
What it costs to send money and take calls from CDOC (Colorado), using only fees CDOC (Colorado) publishes, each with its source and date. Where a fee isn't published, we say so; we never guess. Call rate: $0.014/min.
Sending money
Options CDOC (Colorado) names: CorrectPay (approved provider) (opens in new tab)
Official fees and rates
- CDOC must withhold at least 20% of each deposit toward court-ordered fines, fees, restitution or child support. Sending money to more than one person in custody is restricted.
Other official notes
- Since May 10, 2026, CorrectPay is CDOC's only deposit provider; JPay, Western Union and ConnectNetwork are no longer supported. Deposit at correctpay.com (select Colorado, the facility, then Commissary Deposit), with the CorrectPay app, or by phone at 1-855-836-3364.
- Money sent before 4 p.m. MT is usually available the next day; CDOC suggests allowing 2 to 3 days.

Phone calls, video and messages
Options CDOC (Colorado) names: Securus (approved provider) (opens in new tab)
Official fees and rates
- CDOC's phone, video visit, tablet and eMessaging provider is Securus. CDOC lists the call rate as $0.014 a minute after HB23-1133.
Other official notes
- People in prison can't receive incoming calls. Write to the person with your number so they can add you to their approved phone list. Three-way calling can get your number suspended.
- Securus eMessaging is one-way: you can send messages to the person's tablet, but they can't reply electronically. Video visit accounts are set up through Securus.

Ways to keep costs down
- If CDOC (Colorado) lists a free option (often a mailed money order), it says so above.
- Fees often step up with the amount; a vendor's checkout screen shows the exact fee before you pay.
- Compare states: all states side by side.
