Arkansas state prisons: visiting, mail, money and status

24 Arkansas DOC prisons from the official Arkansas DOC facility list, checked 2026-10-20.

Arkansas DOC Inmate Search (official) (opens in new tab) Arkansas facility status

How to search: enter the person's legal last and first name, or their Arkansas DOC ID number if you have it. Nicknames and misspellings usually return nothing; try fewer letters or a different spelling of the name. Use the Inmate Search on Arkansas DOC's Online Services page. Facility locations are listed as directions, the way the official facilities page gives them; check the unit before you mail legal items.

What the dates mean: any dates shown, such as admission, sentence or projected release dates, come from Arkansas DOC's own records. Projected dates can change (for example with earned credits, discipline or parole decisions) and are not a guarantee. Ask Arkansas DOC or the facility before making plans around a date.

Release and transfer alerts: Arkansas takes part in VINE (official source (opens in new tab)). Families can sign up free on VINELink (opens in new tab) for release, transfer and court-date alerts. It's built mainly for crime victims.

OutSooner does not store or list anyone's name, date of birth or ID number. The search runs on the official site.

In-person visiting

  • Immediate family can visit for up to 30 days when someone first arrives at their unit. Call the Unit Visitation Clerk first. After that, only approved visitors can come.

Becoming an approved visitor

  • Fill out the form completely and mail it to the person's unit, Attention: Unit Visitation Clerk. Don't send it to the person or to the Florida mail address. Screening takes 1–2 weeks and includes a background check.
