Visit-day checklist: Rhode Island prisons

Before visit day
- ☐ Ask the person to put your name on their visitors' list; their counselor can help. You must pass BCI and NCIC background checks. (official source) (opens in new tab)
- ☐ Sentenced people may list 9 visitors, plus 2 extra people who can only deposit money (for example, out-of-state family). (official source) (opens in new tab)
- ☐ Check for lockdowns or cancelled visits: Rhode Island facility status.
What to wear

ID to bring

What you can bring, what stays in the car
