North Dakota DOCR facilities don't accept personal mail. It goes to the Securus Digital Mail Center, is scanned, and shows up on the person's tablet. Put your return name and address on the envelope; to get originals back, include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
The penitentiary, Missouri River, James River and Heart River centers also don't accept money in person or by mail. Use JPay (app, website, 800-574-5729, or MoneyGram receive code 1304), or mail a money order with JPay's deposit form to JPay in Florida. Calls are 7.9 cents per minute.
