Reentry and transitional housing in California

Official CDCR housing information, help lines and supervision offices, with a city or ZIP search. Official sources only; no paid listings.

Check with the parole or probation officer first. Any address has to be approved before the move. Being on an official list doesn't mean a home has room, takes your situation, or is approved for a specific person.

Parole in California is supervised by CDCR's Division of Adult Parole Operations (DAPO) through parole units in a Northern and a Southern region.

CDCR's STOP contractors serve people on parole in their first year after release. Services include recovery and reentry housing and emergency housing. CDCR's Transitional Housing Program (up to 180 days, possibly 185 more) is offered in Alameda, Fresno, Monterey, Sacramento and San Diego counties. Enrollment requires a referral from your parole agent.
